  5. Accell/SQL is a fourth generation development environment consisting of three
  6. sections: the powerful Accell applications generator (enabling between 80-90%
  7. of the application to be written without resorting to code); the Accell 4GL
  8. (Used to code the finishing touches to your application); and a database
  9. interface. The latter enables developers to write their code in Accell/SQL and
  10. then if necessary port their application to an alternative back-end database,
  11. without rewriting the code. Currently Unify provides interfaces to Unify 2000
  12. (Unify's own relational database), Oracle (Accell/SQL for Oracle), Sybase
  13. (Accell/SQL for Sybase), Informix (Accell/SQL for Informix) and Ingres
  14. (Accell/SQL for Ingres). In addition to being a fully database-independent
  15. toolset, Accell/SQL also supports different GUIs, again with no code change.
  16. Currently Unify provides support of Motif, OpenLook and MS-Windows 3.1.
